Vetiver Root Bundle

Vetiver Root Bundle
The vetiver plant has a wide array of uses, including medicine, aromatherapy, soil stabilisation, conservation and construction.
The root, in particular, is highly grounding, and is used to strengthen the nervous system, reduce anxiety and help with sleeping. Additionally, it naturally possesses antibacterial, antimicrobial, antioxidant and insect-repelling properties.
Growing vetiver helps to restore soil quality, prevent erosion and maintain biodiversity, while its cultivation provides a sustainable livelihood for local communities. Our vetiver root is sustainably grown and harvested, and is planted specifically for cultivation.
The scent is described as earthy and woody, with a slightly smoky undertone.
Uses:
There are variations in the ways to use vetiver root but, ultimately, the method of use depends on your own personal preference and intuition.
We suggest:
Placing a few strands in your St Palo burner with a small tealight or our eco tealights to gently release its grounding aroma. Once blackened and no longer diffusing an aroma, simply trim away the blackened part and continue using as before.
Tucking into a woollens drawer to benefit from its scent and insect-repellent properties simultaneously, keeping clothes fresh and free of pests.
Advice:
Due to this product being a natural root, variations in size, shape and thickness of the strands are completely normal, and therefore do not affect its use or effectiveness.
If you feel that the scent of the vetiver has dispersed, it is possible to soak the bundle in water and let dry thoroughly to restore a more intense smell.
